Shipping and returns
Written plainly, because nobody enjoys reading this part. Kelp & Copper is a fictional organisation and nothing here is dispatched, but the terms are the shape a real Australian shop would use.
Dispatch
Orders are packed by hand in Fremantle and generally leave the workshop within one to two business days. Orders placed after 2pm Western Standard Time, or on a weekend or public holiday, are packed the next business day.
You would receive a dispatch email with a tracking number when the parcel is collected.
Delivery estimates
Perth metro: 1–3 business days. Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney metro: 3–6 business days. Brisbane and Hobart metro: 5–8 business days. Regional addresses add roughly two business days, and remote Western Australian and Northern Territory addresses can take 5–9 business days.
These are estimates from the carrier, not guarantees. Ceramics travel slowly and we would rather they arrive intact than fast.
Shipping costs
Free shipping on orders over $150. Otherwise $12 flat within Australia, and $18 to Western Australian regional areas and the Northern Territory. All amounts are in Australian dollars and include GST. We ship within Australia only.
Change-of-mind returns
If a piece is not right for you, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. This is our own courtesy policy, offered on top of your legal rights.
The item needs to be unused, unwashed and in its original packaging, in a condition we could sell again. Email hello@example.com.au (example data for this demo) with your order number first so we can send return instructions and check the piece is still in stock if you want an exchange.
Return postage for a change of mind is paid by you, and we would recommend a tracked and padded satchel. The original shipping charge is not refunded. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within five business days of the parcel arriving back.
Breakages and faults
If something arrives broken, send a photo within seven days and we will replace it or refund it, with return postage at our cost where a return is needed. We pack for the worst courier day imaginable, but a kiln-fired object occasionally loses.
Your rights are separate from this policy
The change-of-mind terms above are ours and we set them. They are separate from the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, which we cannot exclude. If goods are faulty, not as described, or not of acceptable quality, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on whether the failure is major, and to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss. Nothing on this page limits those rights.
