About this piece

Thrown wide and shallow so a meal sits flat rather than piling up in the middle. The sea-green glaze is applied thickly and thins as it climbs, so it breaks back to grey stoneware along the rim where the form is sharpest. No two rims break in the same place. The 220 mm size is the one we eat dinner out of at the workshop; the 180 mm suits breakfast, sides and anything you would otherwise put on a small plate.

Materials
Speckled stoneware, food-safe satin glaze, unglazed clay foot
Dimensions
Everyday 180 mm diameter × 55 mm high, 600 ml. Dinner 220 mm diameter × 65 mm high, 950 ml.
Care
